When did you become a member of Mi5 Fitness? Day 1!
What do you do when you are not at Mi5? I have 2 teenage boys that keep me busy with hockey and school and I work for Beautycounter..a line of safer skincare, makeup and baby products.
How did you find out about Mi5? Andrew has been my (our) trainer for about 8 or 9 years…Andrew and I both worked for Lifetime for many years and I met him there
When/How did you realize CrossFit/Mi5 was the right fit for you? From the beginning!!
What is your favorite WOD/movement? I love anything oblique…chops, side planks
What is your least favorite WOD/movement? The rower!!! :(
What would your perfect WOD look like? I love the variety of the 7:30 class…boxing, yoga, circuits….never boring
What is one thing you have been able to accomplish since starting at Mi5 that you never thought you'd be able to do? A rope climb!
What motivates you to stay fit? My kids and feeling younger than I am :) (48)
What is something about you that Mi5 members do not yet know? I didn’t know Diane before we started training together and now she’s my best friend. Wonderful things happen at the gym!
What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Mi5? Start slowly and listen to the coaches…they are SO GOOD at form and making sure that you get an awesome and safe workout.
Where did you grow up? In between two small towns in Minnesota - Eden Valley and Paynesville
When did you become a member of Mi5 Fitness? The first day it opened. Kari and I have been training with Andrew Franz for the last 11 years. It is amazing to see this club grow.
What do you do when you are not at Mi5? Prior to staying at home raising our 3 kids, I was a pharmaceutical sales rep and a first grade teacher. Boating, down hill skiing, attending cooking classes, spending time at our cabin in WI, and watching my kids play sports and volunteering at church and school.
How did you find out about Mi5? Coach Andrew Franz
When/How did you realize CrossFit/Mi5 was the right fit for you? I knew Crossfit/Mi5 was a great fit because of the positiveatmosphere , motivating coaches/personal trainers and the wide variety of class options.
What is your favorite WOD/movement? My favorite classes are Mi 30/30, boot camp, and personal training each Tuesday. I also find the nutrition counseling very valuable.
What is your least favorite WOD/movement? Bear crawls
What is one thing you have been able to accomplish since starting at Mi5 that you never thought you'd be able to do? Met my body fat goal.
What motivates you to stay fit? I am motivated because I feel the best when I workout and I also know that being more fit will increase disease preventions.
What is something about you that Mi5 members do not yet know? I have been sky driving.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Mi5? Over my years coming to Mi5, I have seen peoples’ physics completely changed and with hard work it can happen in a very short time so keep coming to Mi5.
