What do you do when you are not at Mi5? Broker/Realtor – iMetro Property, coach U13 Girls and U11 Boys Soccer for Lakeville Soccer, Pond Hockey, snowboarding/skiing, Golf & Church
How did you find out about Mi5? My brother in-law does Crossfit in CA and he kept pushing me to try it. I’d drive by Mi5 all the time and finally figured I’d check it out. I stumbled in not knowing what to expect…
When/How did you realize CrossFit/Mi5 was the right fit for you? First work-out, I got hooked right away! I love the intensity of the work-outs, variety, and the camaraderie of the coaches/members. It’s a great group of people… I could never push myself working-out at Lifetime by myself like I do at Mi5.
What is your favorite WOD/movement? Cleans or overhead Press
What is your least favorite WOD/movement? TTB or Double Unders
What would your perfect WOD look like? Monday's WOD… C&J (30) and 4 wall ball EMOM
What is one thing you have been able to accomplish since starting at Mi5 that you never thought you'd be able to do? Get my BMI to 10-11%. (Hopefully, it’s my goal by 3/20/16)
What motivates you to stay fit? Seeing the results… getting stronger, improving mobility and having more energy! Hitting a new PR! I feel better at 40 (almost) than I did at 30. I had extremely painful plantar fasciitis when starting Mi5 and it’s gone. I could barely walk after coaching some days. Most importantly, as a father and coach, I want to be an example for my kids and the kids I coach by being fit and healthy.
What is something about you that Mi5 members do not yet know? I hadn’t really worked out for over 2 years before joining Mi5/Crossfit.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Mi5? Stick with it! Work on mobility and stretch. Stretching for 20-30 minutes after each work-out helps tremendously.
