Preferred Name: Karoline
Where did you grow up?
I guess I’m still in the process, but I live in Elko New Market.
When did you become a member of Mi5 Fitness?
I started coming here and there in the spring of 2019, but I began coming consistently around last June (once I no longer had track and gymnastics in my schedule).
What do you do when you are not at Mi5?
Not much😅. I love spending time with friends and family (but if you ask them they’ll say I love the gym more-which isn’t true btw). And then of course school and school work. Other activities I enjoy are going skiing, going for walks/jogs, taking trips, and most of all relaxing.
How did you find out about Mi5?
My mom! The funny thing is I actually remember disliking mi5 before I started coming. My mom had been looking for a gym that was the right fit for a while, but none had been clicking. Once she found mi5 she started going multiple days a week and I became annoyed that the gym was hogging all her time. Little did I know, I would come to be very thankful for her discovery!
When/How did you realize CrossFit/Mi5 was the right fit for you?
When I realized doing crossfit meant I could have fun, get in shape, not injure myself, and become a part of an amazing gym family all at once.
What is your favorite WOD/movement?
Any gymnastics movements, back/front squat, running outside, and oddly burpees!
What is your least favorite WOD/movement?
Lately I would have to say the rower.
What would your perfect WOD look like?
Burpee box jump overs paired with t2bs or c2bs or something along those lines. I looove handstands too (we should do more😉).
What motivates you to stay fit?
Well physically I feel my best when I stay active, but I’ve come to find that working out is a booster for my mental health, too.
What is something about you that Mi5 members do not yet know?
I couldn’t come up with anything, so I asked my dad to brainstorm some ideas for me and here’s what I got: I love spicy foods, I have nocturnal tendencies, we have cows and chickens, and I love country music.
What advice would you give to someone just getting started at Mi5?
Stick with it! It’s a fantastic gym with fantastic people!
