Transformations and Testimonials
Diana T., Personal Training and Mi-Bootcamp“Mi5 Fitness is an amazing place to workout. I can’t say enough good things about all of the personal trainers and operations manager, Jill Hill Metkowski. Over the years I had gotten in the routine of going to fitness classes and a limited amount of strength training. It was a great cardio workout but I did not see results as far as overall strength and toning until I joined Mi5 Fitness.
Andrew challenges me to limits in which I would not challenge myself. He is always very motivating and over the years he’s never given me same work out twice. Andrew goes above and beyond to meet all of his clients needs. Another great resource at Mi5 Fitness is nutritionist, Kristin Hogan. Kristin has done a wonderful job providing accountability, nutrition information and grocery store tours for me. Kristin and Mi5 Fitness are always offering educational opportunities to increase your fitness and health. I was most recently part of the 30-Day Paleo Challenge and LOST 8.6 POUNDS AND 4.7% BODY FAT! I could not have done this without Kristin, Andrew and the support of the Mi5 community. There are many reasons I work out at Mi5 but one reason that keeps me coming back is seeing peoples’ physical physique change within in a matter of months. Also, the group classes are tailored to meet all fitness levels. The trainers are continually doing whatever they can to meet the needs of everyone at class. I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to workout at Mi5 Fitness and to also be surrounded by people who have such a positive and motivating attitude!” |
Brian A., CrossFit"I have been coming to MI5 Fitness for just over a year now, and have really enjoyed it. In the past I would usually try and get my exercise by playing sports, most specifically hockey. I eventually realized that hockey wasn’t enough and needed to go to a big time gym. I went to the corporate gym for a little while but I didn’t really have any direction, I hopped on a treadmill or an elliptical for a bit or tried out a different piece of equipment without any idea how it would benefit my body. For me, it was boring, and I dreaded going.
After a vacation in Aug 2014, I realized that I needed to find something different. I heard of CrossFit through friends on on TV but I didn’t really know what it was all about. Fortunately, there was a free trial at Mi5 Fitness, so I figured I would give it a try. That first week absolutely kicked my butt, and many days since, but I was instantly hooked. I hadn’t lifted weights in probably 20 years, and I’ve found that that is what I enjoy doing most at Mi5 Fitness. The coach’s at MI5 will work with you to makes sure you are doing the activities safely and correctly, and will scale the movements to your ability level. In the last year I have lost over 25lbs, and more than 8% body fat, by working out and eating better with the help of MI5. I truly believe that at age 42, I am in better shape than I have ever been. I feel quicker playing hockey, and certainly have more endurance, after joining Crossfit my legs are rarely tired during a game. CrossFit doesn’t have to be intimidating, I would encourage anyone to give it a try that has a fitness goal and see what you think. I can guarantee that if nothing else, it isn’t boring! When you get to the end of a class, it really feels good and gives you a sense of accomplishment. I am at a point where I can’t imagine going anywhere else. MI5 is a great community to be a part of!” |
Mycie T., Mi-BootCamp, Mi-Yoga"I spent 11 years going through the motions of group fitness classes yielding minimal results. Since I started at Mi5, I have made significant changes to my workout habits and to myself! I look forward to walking through that door every day to see the awesome team that works there and all the wonderful members that I get to work out with. Mi5 is my happy place! There is an amazing sense of community and support that makes you want to challenge yourself and succeed. Every class is different and you never know exactly what you are in for but it makes for an adventure.
I remember having to be lifted up to get over the wall on the obstacle course the first time I went through it, that was embarrassing. Not to be repeated, I made it my mission to do it myself the next time and sure enough, I figured it out! This is a special memory to me because it reminds me that not everything is going to be easy, but after putting in the hard work, the end result is worth it! The trainers make sure you are working with proper form and efficiently moving for your BEST results. They make you aware of your successes because we don't always realize them on our own. I would not be where I am today if it was not for Mi5 Fitness. I am so grateful that this group took the risk of starting their own gym and my dear friend had me try it out. The whole team is amazing and they all sincerely want you to succeed and have a great overall experience." |
